I went to some room that looked an apartment inside a church with my son, while in there people came in and out to use the bathroom inside, there was 2 guys getting stuff and then there was another guy that came in, he said he was going to check on somebody because they wouldn’t answer the phone, we all said ok and then he locked the door, grabbed a knife and started chasing them, he stabbed the 2 guys and came at me and I shoved my son under the table. Then I woke up he was coming straight towards me
Dreams often create vivid scenarios that reflect our emotions, fears, and experiences. The dream you described carries several symbolic elements that may reveal insights into your subconscious mind.
Setting: The Apartment Inside a Church The church often symbolizes spirituality, community, or a desire for sanctuary and protection. An apartment inside a church suggests a blending of the personal and the sacred, indicating that there may be aspects of your life or family dynamic that you seek to align with your values or beliefs. It may also reflect a sense of searching for comfort or security within your spiritual beliefs.
The People Coming and Going People entering and exiting the space, particularly for mundane needs like using the bathroom, could symbolize feelings of intrusion or disruption in your personal life. It could signify that external influences are affecting your sense of privacy or safety, especially in relation to your son, as you are mindful of his well-being.
The Man with the Knife The appearance of the man with the knife introduces a significant element of fear and danger. He embodies a threat that is both immediate and personal, which likely taps into underlying anxieties or concerns you have about protecting your loved ones. A knife can symbolize betrayal, conflict, or a need to cut ties with someone or something in your life. The act of him locking the door suggests a feeling of entrapment or being cornered by fears, which resonates with a sense of helplessness or vulnerability.
The Act of Protecting Your Son Your instinct to shove your son under the table represents a deep parental instinct to protect and shield him from harm. This action may illustrate your fear of failing to safeguard those you love, reflecting concerns about external dangers or chaotic influences impacting your family. The table may represent shelter or safety, indicating your desire to find refuge amidst turmoil.
Waking Up to the Threat Waking up as the man comes towards you is crucial in understanding the emotional impact of the dream. It indicates how real and frightening your subconscious fears feel at that moment. This could relate to feelings of anxiety, concerns about personal safety, or worries about inadequacy in protecting your family from real-life threats, whether physical, emotional, or situational.
Overall Interpretation This dream encapsulates your concerns about safety, the fragility of your family dynamics, and the intrusion of outside factors that may pose a threat to your loved ones. It suggests a deep-seated anxiety about the unpredictability of life and a protective instinct that is both strong and overwhelming. In the waking world, it may be beneficial to reflect on your current circumstances—are there conflicts, potential dangers, or emotional turmoil that you feel are influencing your well-being?
Consider finding healthy ways to address these fears, whether through open communication with loved ones, seeking support, or fostering an environment of trust and security in your family. If these dreams persist or become disturbing, it may be worthwhile to explore these feelings further, perhaps with the help of a professional who can provide additional insights into your experiences and emotions.
